ROLE SUMMARY

The Loan Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing the loan operations and administrative functions within the bank. This role ensures the effective management, processing, and servicing of loans while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and bank policies. The Loan Administration Manager will lead a team, coordinate with various departments, and maintain high levels of customer service to support the bank's lending activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the end-to-end loan processing functions, including application review, documentation, disbursement, and servicing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all loan transactions, including new loans, renewals, modifications, and payoffs.
  • Monitor loan portfolio performance and take appropriate actions for delinquent accounts.
  • Ensure all loan operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal bank policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of loan files and processes to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with compliance officers and legal advisors to mitigate risks associated with loan administration.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the loan administration team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving departmental goals and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer inquiries and issues related to loan administration.
  • Ensure that customer needs are met with professionalism and that any issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain efficient processes and systems to optimize the loan administration function.
  • Regularly review and update loan policies and procedures to improve workflow and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with IT and other departments to enhance loan processing systems and resolve any technical issues.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on loan administration activities, including loan portfolio performance, compliance audits, and operational metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all loan transactions and correspondence.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in loan administration or related roles within the banking industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of loan processing, servicing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in loan processing software and other banking systems.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • 4 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Preferred Education / Experience :

  • 7 years of experience in banking / financial services working with loan closings of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with LaserPro, Horizon, Abrigo Sageworks Applications are all preferred.
