JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs semi-routine clerical duties requiring a sound knowledge of organizational and/or departmental procedures related to the work performed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Verify accuracy and process overdue library account reports and correspondence, daily deposits, accounts payable invoices, and incoming shipments..
· Perform various clerical functions and to operate various types of office equipment, such as computer, copier, printer, and calculator.
· Perform data entry.
· Interact tactfully and effectively with customers; communicate orally with diverse types of people; to respond to inquiries by applying knowledge of general library policies and procedures.
· Maintain departmental records and coordinate records retention processes as needed.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Sort and route incoming and outgoing mail.
· On a nontypical basis, incumbent may perform other additional duties not listed in this description that are in alignment with the scope of essential job functions.
