My client is a full-service New York-based Construction Management/General Contracting firm. They’re one of the most well respected general contracting firms in Manhattan. They focus on the commercial interiors market, dealing with large banking firms, financial institutions, educational and nonprofit organizations as well as studios and broadcasts.
About the opportunity
My client is looking for an Estimator to join their current team. They already have a very experienced Chief Estimator in place allowing you to learn, develop and improve.
- The Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the total costs associated with a project by executing a detailed line-item budget by trade with unit costs.
- Prepare detailed conceptual budgets and estimating from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents.
- Perform detailed take-offs of all trades.
- Initiate and manage entire bid process (construction management and general contractor) inclusive of preparation of detailed bid package.
The projects you will be working on will be predominantly interior healthcare construction projects ranging in value between $1M - $40M.

Requirements
It is important you have at least 5 years of experience estimating for General Contractors across New York City. It’s important you have a Bachelor of Science, ideally in a construction related field.
