About The Role
They are currently seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will oversee the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including project management, procurement, and finance, to ensure accurate and competitive bids that align with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
- Utilize software and tools to prepare detailed and competitive bids for prospective projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to adjust estimates accordingly.
- Present estimates and bids to senior management and participate in bid reviews.
Rewards And Benefits
My client is looking to pay between $120,000 - $150,000 per annum competitive benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- A minimum of five (4) years of construction estimating or preconstruction with a General Contractor.
- A minimum of three (2) years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
