This role is responsible for preparing sites, mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete while ensuring quality and safety standards and plays a key part in supporting our construction projects. Success in this position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and teamwork, strong organizational abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Clear and prepare sites for concrete work
- Remove and replace sidewalks, curbs, and gutters
- Mix, pour, and place concrete with proper finishing techniques
- Install rebar and other reinforcements
- Operate construction equipment (mixers, trowels, saws)
- Perform repairs on existing concrete structures
- Maintain tools/equipment and clean worksites
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed
- Contribute to a culture of trust, integrity, and collaboration
- Understand and uphold Cityside Fiber's core purpose and values
- Be available for weekend/overtime work as required
- High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years years of experience in concrete construction (sidewalks, curbs, gutters)
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license with good record and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of construction equipment/materials
- Experience in telecom concrete work preferred
- Familiarity with Traffic Control Watch Manual a plus
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
