About The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Dispatcher to be an important part of our team. The Service Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and supporting the daily activities of the field service team. This position will maintain the daily schedule of installation, maintenance, and troubleshoot activities, driving completion, proper documentation, and timely communication internally, with contractors, and with customers. This opportunity sits within Cityside Fiber’s Customer Experience department. The Customer Experience team is responsible for delivering best-in-class service to residents and customers throughout their entire journey with us. The objective of this position is to provide critical schedule management, optimizing team efficiency and the customer experience. To be successful in this role you will have an incredible sense of organization and attention to detail, strong project and schedule management skills, and a dogged sense of responsibility and ownership of the task at hand. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the Company’s objectives. To be successful you will have superior communication and organizational skills.

Compensation
Starting at $22/hr. (Actual starting rate may vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and years of experience).

Responsibilities
- Understand Cityside Fiber’s core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
- Schedule and dispatch technicians and contractor teams for installations, maintenance, and repairs, assigning jobs based on technician availability, skill level, and location.
- Track job progress and update scheduling systems in real time.
- Monitor field activity and adjust assignments as needed to meet service commitments.
- Act as the primary point of contact between technicians, customer service representatives, and management, and provide daily support to the team as required.
- Provide customers with service updates, estimated arrival times, and follow-ups as necessary.
- Address scheduling conflicts, customer inquiries, reschedules, and service escalations promptly.
- Utilize dispatching software, GIS mapping tools, and workforce management systems.
- Troubleshoot and escalate system issues that affect scheduling or field operations.
- Maintain accurate records of job assignments, technician routes, and work completion.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on job status, technician performance, and service efficiency.
- Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside Fiber.
- High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 to 4 years of dispatching, scheduling, or logistics experience (preferably in telecommunications or field services)
- Experience communicating to and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proven history of excellent customer service and ability to build relationships.
- Incredibly strong organizational skills- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated intense customer focus.
- Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic.
- Takes initiative. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis.
- Proven history of managing logistical operations or high-volume daily activity, while operating calmly under pressure.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and adjust schedules to accommodate service changes.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong knowledge of the internet service provider space
- Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful.
- Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed.
- Strong team player acts like an owner and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel (proficiency with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables ideal). Power BI is a plus.
