About The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineer-Drafter to be an important part of our team. As an Engineer-Drafter, you will assist senior engineers in designing and implementing engineering solutions related to fiber optic systems. Your role involves supporting the development, installation, and maintenance of these critical communication networks. To be successful in this role you will have at least 1 - 3 years of experience in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the Company’s objectives. To be successful you will have superior communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Research and Development:
This location is based out of our Irvine, CA offices. You will be required to travel to project/customer sites to fulfill job responsibilities.
Compensation
Starting at $32.00 per hour (actual starting rate may vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and years of experience).

Responsibilities
Research and Development:
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop fiber optic systems and networks.
- Assist in creating detailed schematics for fiber optic installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct site surveys to determine optimal installation paths and techniques.
- Assist in supervising the installation of fiber systems, ensuring proper alignment, signal strength, and data transfer rates.
- Update and maintain project documentation and system records.
- Provide support to other team members.
- High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1 - 3 years) in fiber optic network design and deployment.
- Familiarity with industry specific tools and software
- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients
- Demonstrated intense customer focus
- Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic
- Takes initiative. Doesn’t wait to be asked. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis
- History in Fiber Engineering
- Familiarity with the fiber internet market and technology trends
- Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful. Has sound judgment and ability to be right a lot
- Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed
- Strong team player, acts like an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards
- Valid Driver’s License
