Position Overview:
CitySingers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit choir establised in 1982, with the mission to provide professional quality performances in settings where audiences can experience diverse music in a unique and enriching way. The Executive Director (ED) of CitySingers is a strategic leader responsible for the overall management, growth, and sustainability of the organization. The ED oversees administrative functions while working closely with the Board of Directors, Artistic Director, and community stakeholders to advance the choir’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the choir’s mission and artistic vision.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with the Artistic Director to ensure artistic and organizational goals are met.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
Fundraising & Development:
- Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, sponsorships, and special events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams to ensure financial stability.
Financial & Operational Management:
- Develop and oversee the annual budget, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
- Manage daily operations, including HR, marketing, and technology infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and financial regulations.
Marketing & Public Relations:
- Oversee marketing and communication strategies to enhance visibility and audience engagement.
- Represent the choir in the community and foster partnerships with other arts organizations.
- Manage website, social media, and promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness.
Program & Event Management:
- Assist in planning and executing concerts, tours, and outreach programs.
- Support recruitment and retention of choir members, ensuring a positive organizational culture.
- Coordinate logistics for rehearsals, performances, and special projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, business management, nonprofit leadership, or related field.
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, performing arts, or cultural organizations.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, fundraising, and grant management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
- Ability to inspire and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Passion for choral music and the performing arts.
Compensation & Benefits:
