About The Role
As a Robotics Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our deployed products and spearheading new product development initiatives. You will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and refinement of our autonomous construction technology.
Your role will involve interacting with our customers, providing both remote and on-site customer support, conducting rigorous testing and stress testing of robots before shipment, and empowering our customers through comprehensive training sessions on robot operation and maintenance.
What You'll Do
- Train and support customers both remotely and on-site (in the US and internationally) to ensure seamless operation of our robotic systems.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostics, helping customers resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Assemble and integrate robots, leveraging skills in electronics, soldering, wiring, and motor calibration to ensure reliability and performance.
- Conduct stress tests and field validation, ensuring our robots operate effectively under various conditions.
- Assist in hardware and software upgrades, integrating new sensor designs and improving system functionality.
- Develop and improve fleet management tools for scalable robotic operations and diagnostics.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer success teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to customer success initiatives, ensuring high adoption rates and overall satisfaction with our technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, wiring, motor control (PID tuning), and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in GitHub and ROS (Robot Operating System), with at least 1 year of experience using these platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver technical support both remotely and in-person.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in documenting processes, training materials, and customer support cases.
- Willingness to travel internationally 1-2 times per quarter for short trips and domestically up to 4 days a month.
- Valid driver's license is required.
