Regular Full Time Position
You will be responsible for:
• Checking in guests and understanding people’s situations and feelings and taking actions to make it the best experience ever.
• Checks out guest at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, with full awareness and compassion of any issues during the stay.
• Reconciling financial information from the day’s operations.
• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc..
• Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests.
• Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff. Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of Guest Experience team.
• Overnight Supervisor will partner with the Overnight Security Agent to ensure the safety of our in-house guests and the security of our resort property.
• Reviews late arrivals, next day early arrivals and departures to plan for the next day’s activities. Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
• Mobile Position requiring movement behind the desk and within the hotel.
• Continuous standing for entire shift.
• Dresses in issued uniform and ensures a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times.
• Displays a high work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role.
• Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests, team members and leadership.
• Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model.
Requirements
• Preferred: One to two year's experience in a front desk or accounting role, ideally in a hotel/resort setting
• Strong computer skills
• Strong/positive communication skills
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work on-site
• Knowledge/passion in Health & Wellness
