Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close : Execute the initial system close at the beginning of each month, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- General Ledger Management : Oversee general ledger operations and conduct monthly close procedures to reflect accurate business transactions in financial statements, adhering to company accounting policies. Report financial results into Ropers reporting system within established deadlines.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and review monthly financial statements and other required reports.
- Account Reconciliation : Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Deferred Revenue Tracking : Manage deferred revenue related to service agreements for proper revenue recognition.
- Expense Reporting : Approve expense reports in compliance with CIVCOs travel policy and train new users on Concur.
- Sales Commissions and Incentives : Assist in calculating monthly sales commissions and incentive accruals
- Inventory Management : Oversee cycle count process and annual physical inventory counts to verify record accuracy.
- Fixed Assets : Manage fixed assets by tracking, depreciating, ensuring compliance with capital expenditure requests, and reporting capital expenditures.
- Audit and Compliance : Support financial internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to accounting and company policies and enhance financial results.
- Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and the reliability of financial intelligence for stakeholders.
- Special Projects : Provide assistance with special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Education and / or Experience
Minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting from a four-year college or university; and 4-7 years related experience and / or training required.
