INTRODUCTION
Civic360, LLC is hiring Field Canvassers on behalf of the North Carolina League of Conservation Voters Foundation - Power The Vote NC (NCLCVF-PTVNC) Civic Engagement Program in our Winston-Salem office. The Field Canvasser role will operate in support of the program’s 2025 civic engagement efforts, which involve nonpartisan integrated voter engagement, voter education, and civic engagement outreach.
NCLCVF-PTVNC seeks to further the NCLCVF mission to turn environmental values into NC priorities by engaging frontline communities through voter registration, advocacy, civic education, leadership development, and organizing communities to connect environmental policies to people’s daily lives. We aim to lift voices so individuals can “become the change they want to see.”
The NCLCVF-PTVNC program is improving access to and trust in our democracy, ensuring that communities historically left out of the decision-making process reclaim their rightful influence. We do this by advocating for environmental policies, structural democracy reform, voter registration, voter education, and transformational community engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Canvasser will serve a critical role in advancing NCLCVF-PTVNC’s mission through nonpartisan voter engagement outreach efforts. These efforts include door-knocking and site-based voter registration, civic engagement activities, Get-Out-The-Vote campaigns, phone banking, community education, and organizing around social and environmental issues affecting communities of color in a nonpartisan manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct direct voter and civic engagement outreach activities, including but not limited to door-to-door and site-based canvassing, voter registration, phone banking, text banking, and event participation in support of engagement with the community and mobilizing voters.
- Engage with community members to register them to vote and provide information on early voting, polling locations, and voting plans.
- Represent the organization positively within the community while conducting voter registration and GOTV efforts.
- Participate in community and public events to encourage informed voter participation.
- Attend training sessions and role-play exercises to develop effective outreach strategies and utilize approved scripts to engage voters.
- Participate in daily check-ins and team meetings to track progress toward voter engagement goals.
- Utilize technology and apps for data entry and reporting in compliance with voter engagement protocols.
- Maintain the integrity and accountability of the program by adhering to strict quality control measures, including accurate and ethical voter registration practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with voter registration or other civic engagement initiatives.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- If you are applying for a Driver role, you must have a valid state driver's license and an operational, registered, and insured vehicle.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a reliable cell phone with data.
LOCATION & OTHER JOB DETAILS
- Location: Winston-Salem, NC
- Role: Temporary position (up to 30 hours per week)
- Benefits: Weekly pay, paid holidays after 30 days of employment
