The Quality Assurance Manager is pivotal in upholding and enhancing the quality of products, processes, and services. This role entails managing the Quality Management System, leading both internal and external audits, overseeing supplier quality, and providing leadership and support to the Quality Assurance team. The manager will ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO9001, FAA CFR, and other relevant standards, driving continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality standards across the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee the maintenance of Quality Management System accreditations, ensuring compliance with AS9100 / ISO9001, FAA CFR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead the Quality Department Staff, (Inspection and Quality Engineering), providing direction and support, and reporting directly to the VP / General Manager.
- Initiate and manage Continuous Improvement Projects and lead Root Cause
- Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality plans and procedures, utilizing statistical quality controls and analysis to ensure product and service quality.
- Review and approve engineering specifications, manufacturing work instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), and test procedures, ensuring adequacy, compliance, and quality.
- Analyze trend and metric data to identify areas for continuous / process improvements.
- Manage the Risk Management & Internal Auditing Programs, including documentation and cross-functional collaboration to address quality issues.
- Ensure supplier quality, including management of outside process vendors, clear communication of requirements, and monitoring of on-time delivery.
- Coordinate training to ensure proficiency in the Quality Management System for all relevant employees.
