Summary : The OB Sonographer will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients
Responsibilities
- Calibrate, maintain, and control all ultrasound equipment
- Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner
- Perform scanning test / functions according to ordering physician's requisition
- Notify physicians of any abnormalities or concerns immediately
- Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient
- Maintain an adequate amount of essential supplies at all times by placing orders accordingly
- Troubleshoot any equipment / software issues and reporting any issues
