SUMMARY
The Aerospace Education (AE) Program Administrator is the primary contact for coordination and assistance within the AE team. This person provides administrative assistance for all AE activities and regional and national AE Officer (AEO) Schools. The AE Program Administrator also maintains an inventory of all aerospace education products and materials, prepares and distributes materials and supplies, and provides additional support as needed across all areas within AE.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Supports AE national programs and activities and AE workshops for internal members at wing, region, and national conferences in serving communities and schools by:
- Assisting with AE workshops, educational activities, and presentations at various events for external and prospective members.
- Maintaining records of AE warehouse inventory to include resources, manipulatives, certificates, etc. for all AE areas.
- Preparing and shipping AE curricula including, but not limited to, teacher guides, manipulatives, certificates, and t-shirts for all AE activities.
- Collaborating with the AE team regularly to report inventory levels.
- Preparing and shipping materials for workshops and conferences.
- Providing customer service to members via email and phone communications.
- Actively participating in meetings with CAP staff and volunteers who support aerospace education.
- Representing the Director of Aerospace Education (CAP/AE) in working groups and committees.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Estimated two to five trips per year of 3 to 7 days in duration in order to support the CAP National AEO School, CAP Conferences, and other conferences that CAP exhibits and presents at like the Space Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC) and National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) Conference.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in MS Office to include Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI desired.
- High-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization and across various backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences.
