The Digital Marketing Manager position is pivotal in developing and executing digital marketing and integrated communications campaigns to effectively promote Civil Air Patrol and engage its stakeholders. They will plan, write, create, implement, and continuously improve CAP’s digital footprint across web, social, e-newsletter, and content channels to drive visibility and engagement and raise brand awareness. This role involves understanding business objectives and ensuring the successful execution of digital and integrated campaigns. The incumbent can expect to work cross-functionally within the organization and will be part of the growing Marketing and Strategic Communications team.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement an overarching digital marketing strategy aligned with organizational priorities and nested with a strategic communications plan.
- Identify and manage digital marketing channels not currently being used to secure CAP ownership, where appropriate.
- Manage the planning, execution, engagement, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing to drive consumption and engagement.
- Leverage channels to grow audiences and increase engagement by implementing both organic activations and paid campaigns.
- Use analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns and report back on performance (KPI/ROI) to stakeholders.
- Make data-driven decisions and adjustments to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure brand consistency across digital channels and campaigns.
- Work to enhance brand visibility and reputation in the digital space.
- Plan, create, and write content for digital channels, including, but not limited to, email marketing campaigns, social media, web content, etc.
- Employ best practices in audience segmentation, A/B testing, SEO/SEM, content and performance analysis for continuous improvement and insights.
- Collaborate across the CAP organization to write and create compelling and shareable digital content, including, but not limited to, written, video, photo, and infographic content.
- Perform keyword, interest, demographic, and other target audience research.
- Direct A/B testing, collaborating with digital leaders to surface actionable insights and recommendations while helping key stakeholders understand trends.
- Assist in updating websites and advising on UX to ensure seamless user experience for all audiences.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, English, communications, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of proven experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, tools, strategies, and techniques.
- Proficiency in SEO, PPC, social media management, and email marketing.
- Experience with Canva, Sprout Social, Google Ad grants, preferred.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and act proactively.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and provide insight into website traffic and digital marketing efforts to maximize ROI.
- Ability to map out the digital, end-to-end customer journey and associated metrics for each stage, identifying friction points and proposing resolutions.
- Experience creating graphics for online use and social media preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid State Driver’s License
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
