Job Overview
We are seeking an HDD Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in operating various drilling equipment and machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The HDD Driller will support the planning and execution of horizontal directional drilling operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Ability to operate drilling machinery and equipment, including Vermeer and Caterpillar, to perform drilling tasks effectively.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Monitor the drilling process and make adjustments as needed.
- Utilize dump trucks, loaders, and water trucks for material transport and site preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to execute drilling projects according to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, including depth, location, and materials used as required and needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the operation of directional drilling tools, ensuring efficient and accurate drilling.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while working on-site to minimize risks.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and tankers.
- Understanding the horizontal drilling process and ability to make adjustments as needed is preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety practices and procedures at all times.
- Possess technical skills to operate the equipment, understand horizontal drilling techniques.
