Responsibilities
CDS is looking for a qualified PE (or EIT close to licensure) that is willing to gain experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering design, planning and project management. Our firm structure is not like most CE firms. Each person at the firm is responsible for helping with every aspect of the project. There are no cubicles or skill niches.
Qualifications
A successful candidate is proficient in Civil 3D and Excel with interest in learning RetainPRO (Enercalc), HydroCAD and other standard engineering software.
We are particularly interested in a candidate with a proficiency or desire to learn Hydrology and Stormwater Quality as it relates to site design and grading specific to California requirements.
Candidates must be self motivated and organized. They have to be able to take direction and work independently. Candidates must have good communication skills, including a professional manner at in person meetings and on construction site.
Candidates with existing client relationships and project management experience will be given special consideration.
