Overview
As a Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Pittsburgh, PA office, you will be responsible for client and project management, including the technical and financial management aspects of projects, as well as business development. We have openings for project managers across multiple industries, including commercial and industrial land development, oil and gas, and renewable energy. Working with Principals in the Civil/Site Practice, you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and help them achieve their goals. You will also represent the company at conferences and in project meetings to plan and coordinate work. You will work closely with other CEC professionals locally and across the country to develop opportunities and build business relationships, apply best practices to address client needs, conduct technical reviews of client deliverables, and mentor junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning, design, permitting, and execution of projects.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant design and permitting experience, including earth disturbance and stormwater permits, and the municipal approval process.
- B.S./M.S. in engineering (civil or environmental) or related degree.
- P.E. preferred.
- Civil design and permitting experience related to layout, grading, stormwater, and erosion and sediment control is a must.
- Proven ability to develop business opportunities and contribute to new opportunities.
- Well established reputation and recognition in the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Ohio regional marketplace through relationships with environmental regulatory agencies and active engagement in trade organizations.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multi-discipline projects. For example, a project that includes survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction phase services.
- Ability and desire to mentor junior staff.
