What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ecological Intern position at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.?
Overview
As an Ecological Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will work with a team to conduct wetland and stream assessments, habitat assessments, mist-net surveys, and/or acoustic surveys for state and federally protected bat species. You will record and manage data collection for various projects throughout the summer survey season. By the end of the internship, technicians can expect to have a functioning understanding of wetlands and bat species in the northeast United States and the methods used for presence/absence surveys. Applicants should expect to travel throughout the Midwest. Housing assistance not provided, therefore local candidates preferred.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Ecological or Environmental program;
- Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred.
