What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Engineering Technician position at Civil & Environmental Consultants?
Overview
As a Construction Field Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be part of a highly trained and experienced team that performs observations and testing during earthwork and building construction of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Testing services typically include soil / rock, aggregate, asphalt and concrete materials.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1-3 years field experience working on commercial construction projects performing some or all of the following inspections or testing :
- Earthwork inspections and field testing;
- Concrete sampling and field testing;
- Bearing grade inspections for foundations;
- High School education required, Associate's degree preferred;
- Ability to interpret project plans and specifications;
- Strong computer skills including using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat;
- Ability to write accurate and concise field reports;
- NICET, ICC and / or ACI certification preferred;
