Overview
As a Project Manager / Transportation for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be responsible for leading and preparing roadway and highway plans, specifications, cost estimates on public works, large infrastructure, DOT, and design-build projects throughout the Southwest. At CEC, you will lead and mentor a roadway design team for the successful completion of project tasks. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of geomatics, cross-sections, grading, utility relocations, drainage, traffic control, and associated landscaping. Your expertise in roadway engineering will contribute technical leadership to a multi-disciplinary infrastructure team. Strong client relationships, quality of service and deliverables are a key part of the success of this position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the roadway design efforts for projects, including the preparation of plans and specifications for construction packages;
- Collaborate closely with the project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop efficient and constructible solutions that align with project goals and timelines;
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents to ensure accurate translation of design intent during the construction phase;
- Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the execution of roadway work, responding to inquiries and resolving on-site design-related challenges;
- Collaborate with management to monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables;
- Assist with the identification and recruitment of key personnel and mentoring / training the Civil staff to assure professional growth and development;
- Assist with business development and preparation of proposals for public works pursuits;
- Assure project deliverables meet quality requirements.
