RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Geotechnical Investigation & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations and analyses to assess soil properties, stability, and foundation design parameters for various projects.
- Design & Engineering: Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications for geotechnical aspects of projects, including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and ground improvement.
- Field Operations: Perform geotechnical field inspections, monitoring, and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications, construction quality, and safety regulations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, architects, and construction managers, to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project design and execution.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address geotechnical engineering-related inquiries, concerns, and challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering to enhance design approaches and project outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience: Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, including foundation design, soil mechanics, slope stability analysis, and ground improvement techniques.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in relevant software and tools for geotechnical analysis and design (e.g., AutoCAD, Geo5, LPile, etc.).
- Key Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
