What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grade Crew position at Civil Works Contracting LLC.?
Civil Works Contracting is looking for an experienced Working Grade Foreman, Operators, and Laborers.
The crew is responsible for:
- Excavation & Grading – Cutting and filling soil to achieve the correct elevation, slope, and compaction per project specifications.
- Site Preparation – Clearing and leveling the ground to ensure a stable foundation for roads, buildings, or other structures.
- Compaction – Using rollers or compactors to ensure the soil or aggregate base meets density requirements.
- Drainage Work – Shaping ditches, swales, and slopes to control water runoff and prevent erosion.
- Fine Grading – Using motor graders and other precision equipment to achieve the final surface grade before paving or foundation installation.
- Surveying & Layout – Working with surveyors and engineers to set grade stakes and check elevations.
Must have clean driving record.
The pay range is dependent on experience.
