What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Member position at Civilworks New England?
Overview
The Field Crew Member is responsible for activities that include operating instruments as a part of a crew, performing boundary and topographic surveys, and performing construction layout for municipal, commercial, and residential development projects. Candidates shall be able to perform physical tasks such as clearing brush, hammering grade stakes, and lifting and carrying equipment in all types of terrain and year-round weather conditions.
Essential Duties:
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Carrying survey instruments to/from jobsite
- Using sledge hammers to drive rebar and wooden stakes
- Taking detailed job notes and site photographs
- Operating various survey equipment and instruments
- Driving company vehicles
- Providing assistance to the Crew Chief in conducting land surveys
Requirements:
- Experience: 0-3 years. No experience is required. We provide on the job training.
