Summary of Position:
Civitas Resources is seeking an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Advisor to drive the successful implementation of SAP for our upstream oil & gas operations. This individual will oversee the Enterprise Asset Management work stream, ensuring seamless integration of business processes into SAP while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA RISE. The role will focus on asset tracking, AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) integration, and UOP (Unit of Production) depletion. Post-implementation, the role will serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing ongoing support, training, and system enhancements for the Enterprise Asset Management functions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- SAP Implementation & Process Alignment
- Serve as the primary liaison between Operations, Accounting, IT, and SAP implementation teams.
- Lead the configuration and implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management core functionality, ensuring that asset management functions are optimized and aligned with business goals.
- Define and document business requirements specific to upstream enterprise asset management.
- Review and ensure SAP configurations align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, maintaining a Clean Core Methodology.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design, test, and validate system integrations with financial modules, AFE processes, and UOP depletion calculations.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve implementation issues.
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts for asset and maintenance data.
- User Training & Change Management
- Develop and deliver SAP training programs tailored to Operations, Accounting, and Asset Management teams.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to SAP.
- Provide guidance on best practices for asset tracking, AFE approvals, and UOP depletion.
- Assist with change management efforts to enhance user adoption and minimize disruptions.
- Act as the primary support contact during the go-live and stabilization phases.
- Post-Implementation Support & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as an Enterprise Asset Management SME for SAP post-implementation.
- Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and process optimizations.
- Identify areas for process improvement within SAP EAM and S/4HANA RISE to drive efficiency, scalability, and automation. Support business stakeholders in optimizing business workflows and system operations.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance system functionalities, reporting, and automation.
- Assist with SAP upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts.
- Maintain process documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting resources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure asset data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Work with regulatory and compliance teams to maintain accurate asset tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with external consultants and SAP vendors to implement best practices.
- Align SAP reporting and analytics with business objectives and performance metrics.
- Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure SAP meets internal compliance standards for asset management, AFEs, and depletion reporting.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and cost allocation processes related to asset management.
- Maintain internal controls and SOX compliance related to SAP processes.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Strong knowledge of enterprise asset management principles, maintenance planning, and cost control.
- Expertise in AFE processes, capital project tracking, and UOP depletion methodologies.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced certifications in SAP S/4HANA Asset Management is a plus.
- 10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas enterprise asset management; SAP implementation experience a strong preference.
- Recognized as an expert and advisor with demonstrated in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in EAM.
- Experience in training end-users and leading system adoption efforts.
Travel & Additional Requirements:
- Work Location: Work is performed at both field and office locations.
- Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
- Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
