What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advisor, Operations Command Center position at CIVITAS RESOURCES INC?
Summary of Position:
The Operations Command Center Advisor must have a comprehensive knowledge of all components of the Production Command Center. This position will provide routine and non-routine technical expertise as it pertains to OCC program development, production data analysis, and alarm management. This position will collaborate closely with the EHSR, operations, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure existing tools are effective for end users, and needs are being addressed with continuous improvement and development of new capabilities.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Help to refine scope and function of OCC
- Work with production, automation, midstream, facility and other relevant teams to establish data to be monitored
- Provide insight on alarm hierarchy/rationalization discussion
- Monitor field-wide performance with an emphasis on proactively mitigating non-routine downtime wherever possible
- Analyze historical well trends to identify pads/wells with potential for uplift
- Work with operations and engineering teams to optimize well settings
- Help to document well level changes implemented by OCC and associated value gained
- Assist in training future OCC team personnel (leads, optimizers, techs)
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting and implementation of software updates and improvements
- Participate in route reviews/lookbacks with operations and engineering teams to discuss efficacy of changes implemented
- Assist with oil and water load forecasting, dispatch, and monitoring
- Provide feedback to management on future training and development needs (both individual and for the OCC team)
- Assist with facility PSSR and new well turn-ons, as needed
- Help coordinate emergency response within ICS framework
- Forward-thinking about the larger business, understand how the command center will be utilized across the current business model and how it can be expanded both cross-discipline and cross-basin
- Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environmental, Health, Safety & Regulatory requirements
- Assure all work performed adheres to CIVI standards
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Expertise in real-time monitoring systems and technologies used in the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other monitoring tools is essential.
- Familiarity with integrating new technologies into operations, such as the implementation of advanced monitoring systems, automation, and data analytics for improved decision-making.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience required; education may be counted toward experience requirements; 5 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Prior experience in roles related to operations management, control center operations, or real-time monitoring preferred.
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to utilize the applications for data analysis, complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualizations.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to oil and gas operations required.
Travel Requirements:
- Work is performed at a CIVI location Monday-Friday. Have flexibility to work remotely as needed on Mondays and Fridays.
- Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
- Travel required by vehicle to the Civitas field locations.
