Summary of Position :

The Senior Analyst IV, Spatial Analytics and Applications collects, manages, analyzes, models, and presents geographic data, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Enterprise applications (Esri application suite). This role supports spatial dashboard creation, online mapping, and mobile application development functions in the Esri environment. The Senior Analyst IV, Spatial Analytics and Applications supports : analysis products and mapping business requests using ArcGIS Pro, the Esri Enterprise platform, Server Applications, Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online applications, Esri Experience Builder, Dashboards, Surveys, Instant Apps, StoryMaps, Python / Arcade and other scripting tools to create spatial web content and interactive spatial applications. The incumbent also supports mapping and analysis workflows within the Esri Enterprise server-level applications with GeoEvent, GeoAnalytic, Velocity, Insights, Workforce, Survey123, and Image Server web application development. Senior Analyst IV, Spatial Analytics and Applications supports the spatial database management workflows with data modeling and schema management. The Senior Analyst IV, Spatial Analytics and Applications will help design and support the enterprise GIS applications including web-map and map document creation, data development, spatial analysis and mapping, automated workflow processing, and interact with customers and support GIS projects throughout the company.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

Conduct spatial analyses of multiple datasets and themes (e.g., geologic, operational, measurement, reserves, engineering, midstream, land, environmental, regulatory, cadastral, imagery, cultural) to create mapping and reporting products.
Create detailed thematic and integrated maps and visualizations to support business applications.
Apply advanced geostatistical and geoprocessing tools to create predictive models, maps, 3D visualizations, time-series analyses, animations, and other spatial deliverables.
Analyze and interpret spatial data to support informed decision-making related to project planning and business applications.
Integrate spatial web applications with external data sources and establish workflows.
Develop web-based mapping products and services in Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online, GeoEvent Server, GeoAnalytic Server, Image Server, Workforce for ArcGIS, and mobile GIS applications.
Create visual and graphic standards for spatial web applications.
Perform raster data editing and analysis.
Support the spatial database management practices, providing support and feedback for data modeling and schema requirements.
Support strategic GIS projects and deliverables, helping guide the technical and strategic direction.
Support data lifecycle management processes by managing data inputs and workflows, developing and automating processes where applicable.
Data creation and input, quality testing of GIS databases to ensure data quality and completeness.
Adhere to Spatial standards for data management and deliverable development.
Participate in Spatial team meetings and outreach.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Master’s degree in Geography, GIS or related field, or GISP certification preferred.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in spatial analysis, cartography, and map development required.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with web mapping applications, spatial data management, and spatial dashboards required.

Experience performing basic and advanced spatial analysis and working with spatial databases and services.

Experience with spatial data entry and conversion, and ability to work with survey and georeferenced data.

Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (Server) and server extensions, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro applications and extensions required.

Experience with databases, spatial databases and attribution, data models and data schema preferred.

Knowledge of SQL-based spatial enterprise and database administration preferred.

Knowledge and experience with HTML, JavaScript, Arcade, or Python preferred.

Experience with automation using FME or other scripting tools preferred.

Travel Requirements :

Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Schedule : traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday as business needs allow and with manager approval.

Occasional travel is required to the Civitas corporate HQ and field office locations (CO, NM, TX).
