Manager, Development Planning and Scheduling

Summary of Position:

The Manager, Development Planning and Scheduling will be accountable for multi discipline collaboration to create an operational schedule with economic inputs for delivery assurance, budgeting, and forecasting. They will be skilled in communication, understanding of business drivers of the time and strive for delivery of a schedule that meets business goals. 


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Track and communicate key performance metrics 
  • Continuously improve forecasting through robust monthly reconciliation of forecast to actuals 
  • Preparing and presenting materials to executive leadership as needed
  • Create model for and deliver multiple robust budget and forecast outputs (production, capital and economics). 
  • Integrate with Finance and effectively manage inputs from across the org.
  • Provide input and preparation for quarterly and annual investor and analyst reviews.
  • Implement and manage Enersight scheduling tool, process, and accountability from development sanction through execution.
  • Ensure the development of sanctioned locations that support business goals and operational performance strengths.
  • Work in close collaboration with Reserves, Subsurface and Operations teams to administer long term master inventory, drill, and complete schedule.
  • Maintain execution action logs, help drive accountability and results to ensure no delays and minimal sanction and execution issues.
  • Identify and ensure key development and execution risks are addressed. Address and resolve root causes, strive for continuous improvement.
  • Forecasting development plans in line with permitting expectations, regualtroy requirements, and surface and community needs 
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proficient in Enersight planning software or equivalent. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication required.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must. 
  • Business acumen expertise required
  • Familiarity with ARIES a plus 
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 products (Outlook, Excel, Word).  

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in oil and gas or related industries. 
  • Experience and familiarity with all oil & gas operations, preference to planning and reservoir, production, D&C and operations engineering.

Travel & Additional Requirements:

  • Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.

Base Pay Range: $192,000 - $235,000
