Summary of Position:

Under limited supervision, this position will file regulatory compliance paperwork with Federal and State agencies (sundry notices, completion reports, etc.), prepare and maintain internal tracking spreadsheets and files, request property numbers, and provide support for permit agents as necessary. This position will also prepare Application for Permission to Drill forms (APDs). Must be fully computer proficient, able to prioritize work, multi-task efficiently and accurately while working on multiple projects. In addition, this role is expected to be able to work effectively with all internal and external business contacts, learn the related functional rules and procedures and work with confidential information.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Filing of all completion reports and sundry notices
  • Close tracking of regulatory paperwork due dates to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with completing the preparation of COGCC, TXRRC, & NMOCD correspondence, filing and obtainment of permit applications to meet drilling, completion and production activity schedules
  • Sets up, organize and maintain appropriate filing systems
  • Maintains contact and communication with related agencies as necessary for the filing of appropriate regulatory paperwork
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of monthly permit reports
  • May assist with compliance with all permit stipulations and conditions of approval
  • Prepares general, routine correspondence for others’ signatures
  • Transmits and tracks various documents to counties, state agencies and federal agencies for recording and approval
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
  • Assure work performed adheres to CIVI standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend both numerical and written detail
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication, organization, consultative, recordkeeping, analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a consultative manner with every level of internal and external personnel
  • Willingness to be fully responsible and accountable for the timely performance of all specified job duties
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of Wellview is a plus

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Environmental Science or related discipline or the equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years working with regulations at or adjacent to an oil and gas company.
Travel & Additional Requirements:
  • Work Location: Work is performed at both field and office locations.
  • Schedule: Traditional 40-hour workweek or an alternative schedule of 9-hour workdays Monday through Thursday and 4-hour workdays on Friday, as business needs allow and with manager approval.
  • Travel is required to the Civitas field locations.

Base Pay Range:
$110,000 - $130,000
