Position Overview: CiviTronix, an industry-leading engineering firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing human resources data to support strategic decision-making and optimize HR operations. You will work closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze trends, develop reports, and identify insights that will contribute to the success of our growing organization.

As a key player in a firm renowned for its work in civil and site engineering, stormwater management, highway design, environmental solutions, and water and wastewater services, you will provide data-driven solutions that help enhance our human resources processes, improve employee experiences, and drive organizational efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and an understanding of the HR landscape in an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Management:
- Collect, clean, and organize data from various HR systems and other business tools used across the firm (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems, performance management systems).
- Maintain HR databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy at all times.
- Develop processes and methodologies to streamline data collection and improve HR data workflows.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze HR data to identify key trends in areas such as employee turnover, recruitment, retention, compensation, diversity, and workforce performance.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for HR leadership and senior management, translating data into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Use advanced Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools to create comprehensive dashboards and visualizations to support HR objectives.
- Workforce Planning and Forecasting:
- Assist in workforce planning by providing data-driven insights that inform staffing needs, talent acquisition strategies, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to model future workforce trends based on current data, enabling the firm to be proactive in addressing talent shortages or skill gaps.
- Compensation and Benefits Analysis:
- Provide data analysis to support compensation reviews, ensuring competitive salary structures and alignment with industry standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of employee benefits programs, analyzing trends in utilization and employee satisfaction.
- Employee Engagement and Performance Analytics:
- Work with HR teams to assess employee engagement through surveys and performance data.
- Analyze performance reviews, feedback, and other employee data to identify strengths and areas for improvement, helping to shape HR strategies around employee development and satisfaction.
- Support the creation of data-driven solutions for enhancing employee morale, reducing turnover, and fostering a positive company culture.
- Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist with HR compliance reporting, ensuring that the organization meets all regulatory requirements related to HR practices and labor laws.
- Provide data support for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, helping track and report progress on related goals.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Partner with HR, Finance, and other departmental leaders to provide insights on talent management, resource allocation, and workforce optimization.
- Work closely with engineering and project management teams to understand workforce needs and align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HR technologies, data analytics methodologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the quality and accuracy of HR data.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR data systems and processes, leveraging new tools and technologies where possible.
- Ad-hoc Projects:
- Participate in or lead special HR projects as needed, including mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructures, or new technology implementations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field. Advanced certifications in data analysis or HR-related fields (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or HRIP) are a plus.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience as an HR Data Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or in a similar analytical role, preferably in a fast-paced engineering or technical environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Power BI, and other data visualization platforms.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and talent management tools.
- Experience with statistical software and methodologies is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of data analysis and reporting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Engineering Sector: Understanding of the engineering or construction industry is highly preferred, as it helps contextualize workforce trends, staffing needs, and other HR metrics relevant to CiviTronixs operations.
