Our team combines cutting-edge engineering with deep technical expertise, delivering meaningful solutions that enhance communities, strengthen infrastructure, and protect the environment.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a creative and skilled Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will help design the next generation of tools and products that drive our engineering and infrastructure projects, improving both the user experience and the impact of our work.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for designing intuitive, innovative, and functional products that solve complex problems in civil engineering, infrastructure, and environmental services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in an industry at the intersection of engineering and technology.

Your role will involve collaborating with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into seamless product experiences. Whether you're designing software tools for engineers or developing new solutions for environmental and infrastructure projects, your work will contribute to our mission of creating lasting, sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Design & Conceptualization: Lead the design process from concept to final product for various digital and physical tools that serve our engineering teams and clients. This includes understanding user needs, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and iterating based on feedback.
  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand the needs and challenges of engineers, clients, and other stakeholders. Use insights to inform design decisions and create user-centric products that enhance workflows.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are feasible, aligned with technical capabilities, and meet business goals. Facilitate discussions to align on design direction and priorities.

  • Design Systems & Standards: Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and design standards to ensure consistency across products. Work with engineering teams to implement these standards in code.
  • Testing & Iteration: Conduct usability tests and gather feedback from users to refine product designs. Analyze data and user feedback to continually improve product functionality and design quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design technologies, and best practices. Bring new ideas and innovative solutions to the design process to drive the evolution of our product suite.
  • Project Management & Documentation: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Document design processes, decisions, and workflows to maintain clear and organized project records.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in product design, preferably in a B2B, engineering, or tech-focused environment.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and successful product designs across web, mobile, and/or physical products.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Principle, or Marvel.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices, responsive design, and accessibility standards.

  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with user research techniques, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving ability, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
