The SCIL Management Trainee (Successful Careers in Logistics "SCIL") will receive a unique opportunity as a significant contributor for a period of up to 12 months with substantial exposure to many divisions throughout the organization. This position is designed to guide you through the leadership development process to obtain knowledge and empowerment as a future leader.
Throughout the program, SCIL Management Trainees will build key leadership skills and professional relationships by meeting and working with the people involved in daily operations and decision-making. They will also participate in a mentoring relationship with upper-level management and a peer mentor. Placement in a Full-Time position and location after the completion of the 12-month program as a high-potential leader within CJ Logistics will be mutually agreed upon.
Responsibilities
- Carrier networking and relationship management
- Carrier quality assurance and performance management
- Carrier performance data analytics including track & trace functions
- Solve problems and address issues for employees / teams / departments
- Work cross-functionally between Departments
- Manage employee performance with safety, quality, and productivity
- Involvement in the hiring process in collaboration with HR
- Daily reporting / meetings dependent on location
- Engage and drive motivation within the workforce
- Promote a culture of safety
- Work with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects
- Additional job duties as assigned
This position will support our Transportation Department, located in Des Plaines, IL. The program will commence on June 2, 2025.
