What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter - PA position at CJ Pony Parts?

CJ Pony Parts, Inc. is looking for a creative, detail oriented Copywriter to join our growing team! Successful candidates will be responsible for writing selling copy that sells the parts to our customers through words and descriptions. The Copywriter is also responsible for adding and correcting and / or updating selling copy and product identity information for SKUs listed online. This team keeps our customers coming back by ensuring the copy and description of parts is accurate and engaging so the customer knows exactly what they are purchasing and is excited about it. This team is crucial to the happiness of our customers and their rides, so we take it very seriously!
What your day-to-day would look like :
- Coordinate with Product Development & Purchasing department staff to obtain product information, vendor feedback, troubleshoot informational accuracy issues, and request new / additional information.
- Assist Creative department staff to verify images, format product instructions, and coordinate product-listing information when used in other marketing mediums.
- Interact with Product Specialists for deeper product understanding, practical product knowledge, and coordination of product video offerings that line up with current SKU workload.
- Manage and input bulk updates of SKUs on website for specific information sets.
- Create accurate product descriptions on SKUs assigned with limited information from vendors.
- Format information for SKUs assigned to comply with SEO guidelines and maintaining information integrity.
- Produce progress / results in new products, product corrections, and legacy products at a constant rate for each segment.
- Report informational, organizational or procedural inaccuracies between in-house SKU listings and online SKU listings for supervisor(s) to correct / address.
- Verify images, format product instructions, and coordinate product-listing information using various marketing mediums.
- Create virtual product structure online.
- Provide organized and accurate information on grouped SKUs.
- Continue education / research of products to provide more expert-level copy.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as creating reports, maintaining folders and files, and responding to emails in a timely manner.
- Maintain productivity on SKUs assigned while also maintaining quality of work as outlined by copywriting SOPs.
- All other duties as assigned.
