CJI Construction, Inc. is expanding its Interior Carpentry business and is looking for the right person to take it to the next level. CJI specializes in retail and commercial construction. Located in Macedonia, Ohio, we self perform the interior work with Union Carpenters and this position will primarily be responsible for preparing estimates, leading the team, and developing future work.
As a Construction Estimator/Interior Division Manager, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring the profitability of each project. If you have a strong background in construction estimating and are proficient in industry software such as On Screen take-off and Quick Bid, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project budgets
- Utilize construction estimating software to create comprehensive bid proposals
- Visit jobsites for pre-bid walkthroughs
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs
- Maintain documentation of all estimates, bids, and contracts
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the industry
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as On Screen Take Off and Quick Bid
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, and clients
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
