About the Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director this position provides administrative and operational support for the LYNC program. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. In addition, this position will provide transportation for youth and families to and from the LYNC program as needed. During transportation, this position plays a key role in sustaining engagement, attendance, and ultimately program completion of youth and families who may not have reliable, consistent transportation.

- Monitors overall safety and security within the program
- Greet and sign-in youth, families, and visitors
- Manages youth in common areas
- Strong engagement skills in order to interact with and encourage program attendance
- Schedules and organizes activities such as meetings and program activities for all members of the program staff
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing systems. Retrieves information from files when needed
- Organizes and prioritizes large volume of information and calls
- Answers phones, takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions
- Works in cooperation with and performs all clerical functions for program staff
- Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy
- Primary note taker at staff meetings
- Transports youth and families to and from program as needed
- Oversees maintenance and safety inspections on program vehicles
- Ability and willingness to learn and be knowledgeable of the skills being taught to program participants in order to ensure reinforcement while communicating and transporting youth and families
- Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm
- Occasional flexible availability based on youth and family's availabilities
- $19.81per hour
- Overtime / time and a half eligible
- High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and no traffic violations on record - Required
- Administrative experience - Required
- Experience in clerical support in a community, family or justice involved setting is ideally preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
- Personal Effectiveness/Credibility
- Technical Capacity – Windows, Microsoft Word, etc.
- Strong professional communication skills
