  • Job Overview : Travel RN position in CVICU at CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus, Richmond, VA.
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
  • Unit Information : CVICU, 12 beds, 34 staff members.

    • Job Requirements

  • 3 years ICU experience (prefer CVICU experience)
  • Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS
  • IABP experience
  • PA cath experience
  • CVVH experience

    • Schedule Information

  • Every other weekend (nightshift : Friday and Saturday nights, dayshift : Saturday and Sunday)
  • Patient Ratios : typically 2 : 1, sometimes 1 : 1, sometimes 3 : 1 if tele assignment and no beds to transfer patient.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Recovering open heart surgery patients at bedside right from OR
  • Chest tube insertion
  • Receive vascular surgery patients from PACU
  • CVVH initiation (dialysis RN to assist with start of therapy)
  • Respond to rapid response or code blue for our designated areas

    • Additional Details

  • Dress Code : Navy scrubs, no hoodies, fleeces, or winter jackets while on shift.
  • Unit Guidelines / Policies : Policy stat for all facility policies.
