About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Labor and Delivery team in Richmond, VA. This 12-suite unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during one of the most important moments of their lives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care for expectant mothers and newborns.
- Support mothers and their partners through the labor and delivery process in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and document patient conditions using advanced computerized systems.
- Provide patient and family education to ensure a seamless transition to post-delivery care.
- Maintain cultural and diversity awareness while interacting with patients, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Multistate Compact License.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital nursing experience.
- Labor and Delivery experience preferred (open to cross-training candidates from any unit).
- Certifications:
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification preferred.
