Job Description - Construction & Plant Labor

Responsibilities

• This position requires a person who is self-motivated, professional, and willing to be a team player
• Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
• The laborer may operate jackhammers and drills to break-up concrete and will clean and remove rubble and debris
• The labor must be able to work outdoors in the Arizona heat
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• The position is safety sensitive as the laborer will work around active heavy equipment and machinery
• General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, hot plant and crusher maintenance
• Equipment cleanup as needed.
• May be called upon to run small power tools.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Be dependable and on-time
• Experience in Construction is beneficial
• Equipment Operating Experience is beneficial

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as well as random tests
• Applicants with safe driving records preferred
• Must live or be willing to relocate to within 1 hour of the Safford, AZ area

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00/HR DOE

CKC Construction & Materials is a general contractor for roadwork and site development. We do asphalt paving, earthwork and concrete work for private, commercial, local and state government agencies. We also produce our own materials such as asphalt, concrete, sand & gravel for southeast Arizona. We work within a 75 mile radius of Safford, AZ. We have been in business since 1971. We take great pride in our work and establishing long-term relationships with clients and customers. We know that our employees are our most valuable asset. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
