Position Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of CKC Operations in Gilbert, Arizona. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in civil construction, asphalt paving, and aggregate production. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing crews, optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring project deadlines are met, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Management:
- Oversee daily construction and production operations, including asphalt manufacturing, aggregate processing, and paving projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality specifications.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and site supervisors to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve operational challenges and improve workflow processes.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, site supervisors, and equipment operators.
- Hire, train, and develop employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement strategies to improve team efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Monitor budgets, production costs, and financial performance, making adjustments as needed to improve margins.
- Manage equipment utilization and maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
- Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely material and equipment availability.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and job site inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors in Gilbert, AZ.
- Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, inspectors, and industry partners.
- Represent CKC Operations in business development and networking opportunities.
Required:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,262.00 - $90,000.00 per year
