What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bender Cutter position at CKD USA Corporation?

CKD USA has an opening in their Austin Manufacturing Facility for a Bender. This position is instrumental in our production process to fulfill customer demand. The position will report to our Production Supervisor and will work with team members in production, continually training and supporting the welding team.
Responsibilities:
- Operates Manual and CNC tube bending machines.
- Performs bending operations of different sizes of electro polished stainless-steel tubing.
- Ability to bend simple operations to more complex with multiple bends and compound angles in several geometric planes.
- Inspects finished parts using several measuring instruments such as calipers, high gauges, angle gauges, master templates and engineer drawings.
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and blueprints specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finish product.
- Measures marks and scribe’s dimensions according to cut lengths from BOM. Selects aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting blades and materials on the cold saw.
- Starts and observes the cold saw to detects mal functions or out of tolerance cutting. Use and knowledge of measuring equipment such as digital calipers, high gauges, and DRO digital measuring devise.
- Ability to read and interpret BOM’s and documents such as safety rules, operating Manuals, and work procedures.
- Ability to work with team members.
- Ability to take direction from supervisor.
- Ability to keep required job schedules.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
- Experienced at using basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
- Proficient at using shop hand tools and computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certification is a plus.
- Able to read blueprints and able to build according to print.
- Good organizational skills and knowledge of equipment operation and safety of equipment such as cold saws, hand drills, deburr tooling, etc.
- The ability to make precise adjustments quickly and repeatedly in moving the controls of a machine to exact positions.
- Semiconductor experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
- Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
- Ability to sit for sustained periods of time.
- The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods of time may be required.
