CKD USA is looking for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our Semiconductor Manufacturing Department in our Austin facility. This role is responsible for compiling and preparing documentation for customer First Article reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and customer requirements. The QC Inspector will record and store data in a digitized format within the ERP system, maintaining thorough and organized records.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and QA Engineer and plays a key role in quality assurance and compliance within our manufacturing process. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities :

  • Create digitized copies of Drawings, Manufacturing Orders, Inspection reports, and other necessary documentation to complete First article information that conforms to customer requirements.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports of FAI acceptance.
  • At times, this position may require working in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.
  • Understand and enforce regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Upload documentation within Customer portals, and record inspection measurements.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures.
  • Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Experience and Skills :

  • Be acquainted with common inspection tools; micrometers, calipers, height gages, and
  • other inspection tools as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information and blueprints for mechanical parts (knowledge of GD&T fundamentals a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focused.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Previous weldment inspection experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems a plus.
  • Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Some technician coursework and / or technical degree / equivalent preferred.

    The vision demands for this job require, close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment Demands :

    This job requires an employee to be exposed to a typical production and office environment throughout the day.

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.
  • Noise Level :

    The noise level can vary from moderate to low similar to production and office environment.
