Job Requirements
This role is responsible for the Safety, Quality, and Production of the plant during assigned shift hours. You will be required to teach, train, and retain employees while enforcing all company policies, procedure, work rules and work instructions. This involves managing approx. 30-40 employees - including area leads and a mix of full temporary and full time employees.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily blow molding production activities.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Train, lead, and develop production team members.
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to maintain optimal machine performance and product quality.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a blow molding or plastic manufacturing, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience providing leadership, coaching, training to employees to motivate and retain staff
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Hands-on practical experience with extrusion or blow molding (Bekum, Uniloy, Nissei, Aoki, Stretch Blow Molding or similar) of rigid plastic containers helpful.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
