Job overview
As a Millwright Estimator at CL Construction, you will be responsible for developing meticulous cost estimates for millwright projects, as well as Time and Material (T&M) jobs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand project scope.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for millwright projects, covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop estimates for Time and Material (T&M) jobs, focusing on competitive pricing and profitability.
- Create comprehensive bids for millwright projects, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Analyze project scope, schedules, and requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
- Present estimates and proposals to customers, addressing inquiries and highlighting key aspects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and leadership to ensure accurate estimates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in millwright project estimation or similar construction roles.
- Proven track record in preparing precise and competitive cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of millwright work, including machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
