- Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
- Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
- Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to owner in an easy-to-understand manner
- Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe shop
- Follow MSDS criteria
- Demonstrate Time Management and problem solving skills
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
- Automotive Service Excellence / ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers / SAE certification is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required
- 1-3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic required
