Job Description:
As a Cashier, you will play an essential role in providing outstanding service to our customers by accurately processing transactions, managing payments, and helping with customer inquiries. The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, and has the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a busy retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using the register.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring all transactions are correct.
- Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude as they enter and exit the store.
- Assist with returns, exchanges, and other customer service-related issues.
- Keep the register area organized and clean, ensuring the store environment remains welcoming.
- Provide product recommendations and answer any questions customers may have about products or services.
- Ensure all sales transactions are processed in compliance with store policies.
- Balance the register and ensure all funds are accounted for at the beginning and end of your shift.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining store organization as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales and customer service goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
