Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The Porter will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to ensuring that all areas are well-kept, safe, and inviting for both employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean environment.
- Conduct custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Maintain the exterior of the building by ensuring walkways, entrances, and outdoor areas are clean and free of debris.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Carry out industrial cleaning duties in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Support residential painting projects as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices.
- Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with custodial responsibilities and floor care techniques.
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace while following safety guidelines.
