Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a
Business Management Instructor
position. This is a full-time, union, exempt and benefits-eligible position. College and Division
The Business & Computer Science department resides in the Arts & Sciences Division. As a division we are one of four Instructional and Student Support divisions at CCC. The four divisions are: Academic Foundations and Connections (AFAC), Arts and Sciences (A & S), Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (IEP) and Technology, Applied Science and Public Services (TAPS). The Arts and Sciences Division includes nine departments: Art; Business & Computer Science; Communication, Theater & Journalism; Horticulture; Music; Science; Social Sciences; Water Engineering Technology; and World Languages.
Business & Computer Science Department
The Business & Computer Science Department offers both career technical programs in information technologies as well as transfer degrees in business and computer science. The College and the Department have a long-standing history of collective decision-making and do so with a central goal in mind - students must come first.
The Department

Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for teaching business classes and leading the business management program, which includes an associate of applied science degree and certificates of completion.
Instruction & Related Assignments
- Teaches classes as assigned, following approved course outlines
- Posts and maintains office hours
- Provides students with course syllabi
- Prepares courses and materials
- Reviews and evaluates student progress
- Communicates regularly to students about their progress and responding to student inquiries in a timely manner
- Consults with students about their course, program, resources at the college, and potential careers
- Compiles data for routine reports as required by the College
- Actively participates in assessment processes, and updating courses and curriculum based on assessment results, curriculum review cycles, or externally mandated changes in programs
- Attends and participates in department, division, and College meetings, and committee concerns
- Regularly seeks out professional development activities
- Works with university partners to align curriculum
- Serves as the lead faculty for the Business Management program
- Facilitates program advisory committee meetings
- Connects with industry
- Helps with internships & Cooperative Work Experience (CWE).
- Delivers instruction in a variety of modalities to meet program and student needs including face-to-face, remote, hybrid, and/or online

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and three years' work experience in business management, leadership, administration or a related field.

Physical Demands of the Position

Supervision of other personnel is not a typical function assigned to this position. May provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel and may assign work to student workers.

Terms of Employment
