PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range : $54,711.89 - $68,868.87
Hourly Pay Range : $26.303793 - $33.110035
- Bilingual skills are compensated at an additional 5%
- Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

We are searching for a motivated, self-directed and highly dedicated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our Victim Assistance program as a Grant-Funded Bilingual Bias Crimes Victim Advocate at the Clackamas County District Attorney's (DA) Office. If selected for this position, you will play a critical role in providing victims of crime in Clackamas County with support and information to help them access rights afforded them under the law as well as referrals to appropriate services to help them rebuild their lives. In this role, you will focus on ensuring prompt notice of statutory and constitutional rights to victims of crimes in Clackamas County and providing comprehensive advocacy to victims of bias crimes and incidents as well victims of other crimes. As an advocate, you will serve as the liaison for victims of crime with law enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, the courts and other programs.
The DA’s Office prosecutes crimes committed in Clackamas County and provides legal support services to ensure expedient criminal prosecutions, child support enforcement and assistance to crime victims. The Victim Assistance Program within the District Attorney's Office provides advocacy services to crime victims while working to ensure they have a meaningful role in the criminal justice process.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties may occasionally require the immediate travel during regular work hours to hospitals, police stations, schools or crime scenes with law enforcement to establish victim contact. May involve exposure to victims who are in crisis as a result of emotional and / or physical trauma.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position is grant funded through the BJA FY23 Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Program grant. Continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding.
This position is included in the County’s alternate workweek program, working 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off). Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
Please Note : This position is designated as on-site / in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
