Description
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, the Human Resources (HR) Operations Specialist provides executive-level administrative and human resources generalist support in delivering high-quality, confidential services to employees and students. The HR Operations Specialist supports the daily operations of the Office of Human Resources, including, but not limited to, managing employee records and retention, employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and day-to-day office operations.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, at least two (2) years of work-related experience; or an associate's degree in Administrative Office Technology, Business, or a related discipline with four (4) years of work-related experience. Human Resources experience with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management is preferred. Previous work experience in a higher education environment is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient in payroll processing software and HRIS platforms experience with Paycom is preferred.

Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance

Strong analytical and research skills are required, including utilizing technology to perform data analysis and research.

Demonstrated knowledge of PCs in a Windows-based environment and business software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction, setting priorities and schedules, and identifying and adhering to departmental objectives.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, faculty, students and leadership in a high-volume public setting.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly guide and train staff and supervisors.

Salary : $30,000 - $40,000
